Bridgeway Christian Academy

A Simple Admissions Process

Our admissions process helps us get to know each prospective student and family while giving families the chance to learn about our Christ-centered mission, biblical values, academic program and community — prayerfully determining whether Bridgeway is the right fit for your student.

  1. 1

    Submit Online Application

Families will begin the admissions process by completing the online application and submitting the $225 application fee. The application will collect all necessary student and family information, including information needed to request a teacher recommendation. Upon submission of the application, families will receive information regarding the next steps in the admissions process, including instructions for contacting ABC Educational Services in Matthews to schedule the student’s admissions assessment.

  2. 2

    Admissions Assessment

An important part of Bridgeway’s admissions process is evaluating each prospective student’s academic readiness and potential for success within Bridgeway’s educational environment. Families will contact ABC Educational Services in Matthews directly to schedule the required admissions assessment. Assessment results will become part of the student’s admissions file and will be considered alongside the other components of the application.

  3. 3

    Academic Records

Official copies of the applicant’s academic records are required as part of the admissions process. Families should provide records from the previous academic school year, as well as records from the current academic year, including the first quarter when applicable. Families are also asked to provide all relevant educational testing and documentation, including any psychoeducational evaluations, 504 Plans, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), or other academic support documentation.

  4. 4

    Teacher Recommendation

A current or recent teacher is asked to submit a confidential recommendation about your student's academics, character and classroom participation.

  5. 5

    Shadow Day

Students in grades 1–11 are invited for a Shadow Day. Kindergarten applicants join "A Day in the Life of Kindergarten" in January.

  6. 6

    Parent Interview

A family interview is schedule with our Admissions Director to learn more about your family, your goals for a Christian education, and alignment with Bridgeway's mission.

  7. 7

    Admissions Decision

Once every component is complete and prayerfully reviewed, families are notified by email of the admissions decision.

  8. 8

Accepted families have 10 days to enroll. A $1,000 non-refundable enrollment fee is credited toward tuition; a place is not guaranteed until enrollment is complete.
